The movie revolves around Birju (Bobby Deol), a spoilt brat from an upper middle class family who likes to indulge in petty theft and lies. He falls in love with Neha (Neha Bajpai), a beautiful and innocent girl from a small town. He proposes to her and convinces his parents to accept her as their daughter-in-law. However, when Neha finds out that Birju has lied to her about his family background and his financial status, she breaks off the engagement and leaves him.

Birju decides to steal the money for the operation from his fathers bank account.
